All Aboard CCP Outreach Auction 2024

Programs Supported by the 2024 Christ Church Outreach Auction                  

• American Red Cross Blood Drives at Christ Church Episcopal Parish.*

• Christ Church Episcopal Parish Food Pantry supporting and distributing donated food and infant products to seven different regional organizations.*

• Holiday Sharing - Portland Area. An annual fundraising drive to provide Christmas gifts for select ministry programs.*

• Lake Oswego Meal Network- Sponsored through the Lake Oswego Adult Community Center and is focused on providing nutritious and affordable meals to the seniors living within Lake Oswego. 

• Lake Oswego Transition Shelter Ministry. In conjunction with other local churches, provide a home and help for families living in our two Lake Oswego shelters. 

• Masaka School - Uganda, Africa. Funds provide teachers' salaries and continue to support over 1500 children, including the 300 orphans who live at the school. The teachers teach, counsel, supervise, and nurture the students. Most teachers live at the school and are on call 24/7. 

• Potluck in the Park (PIP) - Portland. Funds are used to purchase food to supplement the donations from grocery stores.  The food is cooked by parishioners every Sunday to create nutritious meals to feed 500-plus hungry persons in downtown Portland. PIP served 29,000 people last year.

• On Common Ground - Refugee Care: The CCEP Vestry developed this initiative in 2022.  We partner with local refugee groups to meet the needs of refugees in the Portland area.  Their 2024 focus is to provide refugees with opportunities to plug into our church community through thoughtful gatherings. They actively support refugees' needs for clothing and Restart Kits.

• Sam's Attic: An eclectic thrift store in Beaverton with a volunteer staff that supports children in Good Samaritan International schools and orphanages in Uganda.*

• TLC/TnT (Tender Loving Care, Think n Try) Mentoring program - Portland. A program that works closely with families in at-risk neighborhoods to keep kids in school. Funds are used for summer day camps and necessary supplies throughout the school year. 

• Habitat for Humanity - Greater Portland - Building decent affordable housing for qualifying families in Washington County.  Funds are used to pay for building material from lumber to cement to windows and for occasional skilled labor as needed. 

• William Temple House - Portland.  Funds help provide emergency social services, mental health counseling, and pastoral care to the working poor in the greater metropolitan area.  They also have a food bank and a thrift shop.
